Curfew in Lesotho

Police Minister Mr. Lebona Lephema has imposed a nationwide curfew by enacting the Internal Security Curfew Order, 2023.

The curfew starts at from 10pm to 4am effective from 16 May 2023.

Police commissioner, Holomo Molibeli, has confirmed that any person travelling between 10pm and 4am without a police permit will face a fine or up to two years in prison.

The curfew is part of government attempts to curb gun violence and address the soaring murder rate.
